The Okemah Indian Community is celebrating their 40th Anniversary as a chartered community on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m at the Okemah Indian Community Center located at 1112 S. Woody Guthrie St. Community elders who helped organize the charter will speak about the significance of the anniversary milestone.
