OKMULGEE – The Muscogee (Creek) Nation’s Scholarship Foundation is offering a chance to attend two basketball games at the University of Oklahoma at a discount, while also helping the Foundation raise money. Specifically, the Foundation is offering discounted tickets to a Women’s Basketball game against South Carolina on Jan. 22 with tipoff at 6 p.m., and a Men’s Basketball game against Texas on Jan. 31 with tipoff at 1 p.m.
According to a flyer sent by the Foundation, $2 of every ticket purchased will help the Foundation continue its work.

Pete Coser Jr., the Director of the Scholarship Foundation Program, was thankful to OU for their work with the Nation when asked about the fundraiser, remarking how the football and basketball fundraisers held with OU helped to raise over $180,000 in 2025 alone.
“This will be approximately the fourth year that we have worked with the OU Athletic Ticket Office. OU has been a great partner to work with, and we are grateful for their commitment and partnership. In addition to the Scholarship Foundation’s current fundraising projects, OU’s football and basketball ticket fundraisers have helped the Foundation raise over $180,000 in 2025; OU Ticket Office is a great partner, and we look forward to engaging with them for future fundraisers.” Coser said.
Coser also spoke about other events the Scholarship Foundation will host in the future, such as the annual Nene Letkv 5K and Fun Run/Walk and the Swing for Education fundraisers. Coser also invited the general public to contact their office for more information on the program’s goals and how to give money to the fundraisers they hold.
“The Scholarship Foundation will be hosting our annual Nene Letkv 5K and Fun Run/Walk, and Swing for Education fundraisers this year. Muscogee Nation employees can also participate in our Workplace Giving Program, which allows them to donate a set amount from their salary every pay period. Citizens can purchase a Scholarship Foundation car plate at the MCN Tag Agency in Okmulgee. Also, customers can donate to the Scholarship Foundation at kiosks located at Muscogee Nation gaming facilities. The community is also invited to contact our office for further information on how to support our goals of providing scholarships, community initiatives, and research that benefits the Muscogee Nation,” Coser added.
