2023 Official MCN Primary Election results are in

Four more years for Principal Chief Hill, and Second Chief Beaver

2023 Official MCN Primary Election results are in

OKMULGEE, Okla. – The MCN 2023 primary election results became official on Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. Candidates that received over 51 percent of the vote have won their contest, per election code. 

Principal and Second Chief

MCN Principal Chief incumbent David Hill has won a second four-year term with 58.37 percent of the vote. Tim Good Voice came in second with 25.36 percent of the vote, and was followed by Lahoma Schultz with 14.08 percent. Joseph Rogers came in fourth, with 2.19 percent of the vote.

Second Chief Del Beaver also won a second term with 67.02 percent of the vote. Sandra Golden received 32.98 percent of the vote.

MCN National Council

Creek District Seat A will see a runoff between Dode Barnett, who received 39.54 percent of the vote, and Joseph Hicks, who received 38.98 percent of the vote. Leney McNac Jr. finished in third place with 21.48 percent of the vote.

Darrell Proctor retains his McIntosh District Seat A with 58.73 percent of the vote. Judith Pickering received 41.27 percent of the vote.

Okmulgee District Seat A will see a November contest between William Lowe, who garnered 37.8 percent of the vote, and Robyn Whitecloud who got 34.39 percent of the vote. James Jennings came in third, with 27.81 percent of the vote.

The general election is scheduled to be held on Nov. 4.
