OKMULKE, Oklv. – The Muscogee (Creek) Nation’s National Council held an emergency session at the Mound Building on July 8.
The council addressed the following legislation, the interpretation of which is attributed to language in the bill:
TR 24-078 A Tribal Resolution of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation authorizing the Principal Chief to execute an arrangement letter with RSM US LLP was adopted. The law was sponsored by Representative Randall Hicks of the Okfuskee District. It was adopted by the National Council with a vote of 13-0.
The Muscogee (Creek) Nation will enter into an agreement with the auditing and consulting firm RSM US LLP in order to complete an audit of the Nation, its businesses, and its funds ending on September 30, 2023.To view the full agenda, visit: mcnnc.com.
