Douglas Two Shields, a senior at Fort Gibson High School, has been selected to participate in the 2025 Native American All-Star Game that will be held in Frisco, Texas January 3-7, 2025. By being selected, this recognizes Douglas as one of Indian Country’s top 60 high school football players who maintain their grade point average. It also recognizes Douglas as a leader for the next generation.
Douglas is a 6’2 three-year varsity letterman. For the Tigers he played center and nose guard and also served as co-captain his senior year. He received the All-District 4A Honorable Mention Team. Douglas is actively involved in NASA, he has been the Vice-President and now serves as the President. Douglas is still undecided where he will further his education but does plan on majoring in aerospace. He will graduate in May 2025.
Douglas is the son of Joseph and Bennette (Harjo) Two Shields, his maternal grandparents are: Audrey (McDaniel) Cross and the late Jack Cross, Mary (Bender) Harjo and the late Bennie Harjo, paternal grandparents are Bonnie (Wacoche) Two Shields and the late Douglas Two Shields.
Douglas will represent the Mvskoke Nation and Fort Gibson High School on January 7, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Star in Frisco, Texas. #NativeAthletes #NativeAllStar
