Michele Jeffley Obituary

Jeffley passed away at the age of 69

Fannie Michele Jeffley was a Muskogee (Creek) Nation citizen born on May 23, 1955 to Robert Jeffley (Weleetka, Oklahoma) and Harriet (Webb) Jeffley (Hannibal, Missouri). She was the 3rd of 5 children born in Wichita but was raised in Chicago. Later in life she obtained her degree in nursing from Kennedy King College. Subsequently, Michele found a long lasting career of 26 years at the Cook County Sheriffs Department of Corrections in Chicago as a correctional officer. In 2021 she moved to Texas where she could be closer to family and loved ones. 

Michele was a sweet, kind, and loving person with a gentle spirit. She had a smile that lit up the entire room. On April 5, 2025 she passed away. Michele was preceded in death by both parents, Sister: Aquanetta, Brothers: Buddy, Ronnie, Donnie, and Robert I, and Nephews: Tomas, Daniel and Donny. She leaves behind to mourn, her Children: Tedi Jeffley, and Jamiel Hunter, Jay and Carlos Howard, daughter in law Dayonna, Grandchildren: DJ, Asata, Dhakwan, Sisters: Shirley Grundy, Muriel Guess, and Jacqie Jeffley, Brothers: Robert Jeffley, Dave Jeffley, Lynn Rowe, and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral services were held on Saturday, April 29, 2025 at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home in Houston.
