OKMULGEE, Okla. – The Muscogee (Creek) National Council held a Business, Finance and Justice/Land, Natural Resources and Cultural Preservation joint committee meeting on Nov. 12.
The Council addressed the following legislation, the interpretation of which is attributed to language in the bills:
TR 24-135 A tribal resolution of the MCN approving and authorizing the MCN Gaming Enterprises, LLC (“MNGE”) Board of Directors to execute the general contract for services with Stout Construction. Representative Robert Hufft sponsored this legislation, which passed 9-0.
If the legislation is adopted, there will be an agreement for the construction of building or improvement with Stout Construction. The bill will benefit the MCN gaming facilities and operations, according to the bill.
TR 24-136 A tribal resolution of the MCN approving and authorizing the MCN Gaming Enterprises, LLC (“MNGE”) Board of Directors to execute the general contract for services with Candor Building Solutions, LLC. Rep. Hufft sponsored this legislation, which passed 9-0.
If the legislation is adopted, there will be a contract and this project will exceed one million dollars for the construction of buildings or any improvements toward the real property or buildings in their project. Candor Building Solutions, LLC will be doing the construction.
