OKMULGEE, Oklahoma – A joint Muscogee (Creek) Nation National Council Business, Finance and Justice/Land, Natural Resource and Cultural Preservation Committee meeting was held in person and via teleconference April 26 at the Mound Building.
All legislation will go before the full Council during the regular session April 30.
BFJ and LNC addressed the following legislation, the interpretation of which is attributed to language in the bills:
NCA-22-045 – A law of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation authorizing an appropriation to the office of environmental services to complete the plan forward for the Fountainhead Creek Golf Course. Representative Sandra Golden sponsored the bill and Rep. Galen Cloud co-sponsored it, which passed 9-0.
Fountainhead Creek Golf Course will receive appropriations in the sum of $118,851.00. Appropriations will go toward restoring natural resources and protecting the environment.
