OKMULKE, Oklv. – The Muscogee Nation Scholarship Foundation is proud to announce the ten outstanding scholars selected for the inaugural Aristocrat Cokv Hecv Honors Program. These scholars have demonstrated exceptional commitment to tribal leadership, community service, and academic excellence, embodying the values of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
After a rigorous selection process overseen by an independent review committee, the following individuals have been chosen as recipients of the Aristocrat Cokv Hecv Honors Program scholarships
for the Spring 2024 Semester:
1. Lizzie Barnett, Oklahoma State University-Institute of Technology
2. Kaiden Bear, University of Central Oklahoma
3. Jessica Burgess, College of the Muscogee Nation
4. Melvin Calls Him, University of Oklahoma
5. Sabina Correa, Oklahoma State University
6. Elizabeth Townsend-Edwards, Northeastern State University
7. Brailey Fogle, University of Oklahoma
8. Laela Gordon, Haskell Indian Nations University
9. Leila Kaseca, Southern Nazarene University
10. Charles Mason, Haskell Indian Nations University
“We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the Aristocrat Cokv Heev Honors Program scholarships,” said Pete Coser, Jr., MHR, Director of the Scholarship Foundation. “These scholars represent the best and brightest of our Mvskoke community, and we are honored to support their academic journey and future leadership endeavors.”
Each scholar received a $5,000 scholarship for the Spring 2024 semester to assist them in achieving their educational goals. In addition to financial support, scholars will be expected to participate in community volunteer work, and also attend a future conference with the Foundation.
“The Aristocrat Cokv Hecv Honors Program is not only about providing financial assistance but also about nurturing the next generation of Muscogee leaders,” added Coser. “We are confident that these scholars will make significant contributions to our community and beyond.”
The Muscogee Nation Scholarship Foundation extends its congratulations to the recipients of the Aristocrat Cokv Hecv Honors Program scholarships and wishes them continued success in their academic and leadership pursuits.
The Muscogee Nation Scholarship Foundation Program is a tribal non-profit program qualified under Section 7871(a) of the IRS. This status is only afforded to federally-recognized tribes.
