As the reign ends for the 2021-2022 Miss Muscogee (Creek) Nation Claudia McHenry and Jr. Miss Gabby Noriega, the two are having many emotions.
It seems surreal for the two, as a year went by in a blink of an eye while making memories and building a bond together as they represented the Nation during a pandemic.
The two young ladies give goodbyes and farewell in their own words.

How are you all? My name is Claudia McHenry. I am 23 years old. My parents are Arlene Isham and Joe McHenry. My maternal grandparents are the late Christine Wolfe and Clarence Isham. My Paternal grandparents are Jessie Cox and Arthur McHenry. I am Wind clan; my tribal town is Tvlwvmocvse. My ceremonial grounds are Helvpe. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2020, and I recently graduated from the College of Muscogee Nation with a certificate in Mvskoke Opunakv.
I would like to begin by saying mvto Mvskokvlke, for letting me represent this great nation these past 365 days. It has been an honor and true privilege that I will forever cherish. Being able to go about and be the goodwill ambassador in different settings has been so humbling. I recognize that each time I stepped out I was carrying you all on my shoulders. Knowing that I always strived to keep y head held high. I was truly blessed to represent at events ranging from the Miss USA pageant to the community parades. Each one was so special to me and I am grateful for every opportunity bestowed upon me.
I would like to thank Chief David Hill, First Lady Monica Hill, Second Chief Del Beaver, Second Lady Rhonda Beaver, the National Council and the pageant committee for supporting Gabby and me throughout our reign. It has been a genuine gift having your unwavering support behind us. Seeing your smiling faces, encouraging nods, hearing your uplifting words, and feeling your affirming hugs were constant reminders of the staunch support you all had for us.
Mvto to LuAnn for always taking care of us while making sure our dreams were made into reality. I appreciate you always keeping us grounded and moving us through adversity. Mvto to my family, you guys have been the foundation on which I Stood when I felt like I couldn’t stand on my own. In everything I have done Grateful. To the members of Helvpe, mvto for teaching me in the ways of our ancestors and mvto for letting me represent you all through this reign.
Those teachings I tried to emulate and share with everyone around me. I was given the chance to meet the young women who will be competing for the 2022-2023Miss and Jr. Miss Muscogee (Creek) Nation titles, and I am proud of each and every one of them. They are all strong and confident young women and I am pleased to say that any of them would be excellent as the next goodwill ambassadors. Please come out and support them and see the beauty and future of our nation during the pageant on June, 2022, at the Beggs Dome. Mvto!
Hesci! My name is Gabrielle Noriega; I am the 2021-2022 Jr. Miss Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
I just would like to say a huge Mvto for being able to be an ambassador for the Nation! Having this opportunity to represent the Nation has been a blessing. My dream had finally become a reality; all I needed was a push to start it off. The one push I needed was from one of my many supporters, Meagan Beaver of Eufaula. She helped me through the process of filling out my pageant application to studying for my quiz at Royalty Retreat. I couldn’t have done this reign without the support of my family as well, Love to them all.
Although, Claudia and I had faced many adversities throughout our personal lives we never let it affect us when being called upon for our duties. We persevered and fought back harder!
I will always consider this my biggest accomplishment! This position of being an ambassador has taught me to be more outspoken, confident, and how to multitask and prioritize my personal and royalty life. Not only did our families support us but also the pageant committee and LuAnn also heavily supported us!
Now to say, a HUGE Mvto to everyone who has supported Miss MCN Claudia and I throughout this reign!
The MCN Scholarship Pageant will be at Beggs High School Gym on June 4 at 2 pm.
