PAWHUSKA, Oklv. The 2024 Academy Awards are gearing up to be another historic night for the cast and crew of “Killers of the Flower Moon”, the Osage people, and the community.
The blockbuster film is up for ten Oscar nominations, including Lily Gladstone, the first Native American woman to be nominated for Best Actress, and Scott George, the first Native American to be nominated for Best Original Song and the first Osage to be nominated for an Oscar.
To celebrate, Osage News is rolling out the Red Carpet once again for the public to join in on the revelry at their watch party at Osage Casino Hotel – Pawhuska on March 10.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. for professional photography, followed by the red carpet pre-show at 5:30 p.m. and the awards show kickoff at 6:00 p.m.
A fireworks show will conclude the event at 9:30 p.m.
“Reservation Dogs” actor and “Killers of the Flower Moon” stylist John Parker, who also acted in the film, will be the night’s emcee.
Osage News Editor Shannon Shaw Duty said she takes great pleasure in holding this event for the community while she and her team will be live from the Oscars Red Carpet Pre-Show in Hollywood.
“We wanted to provide a place for everyone to celebrate the achievements of the film, the achievements of the Osage Nation, and the achievements of the community who have supported this beautiful masterpiece from the beginning,” Shaw Duty said.
In addition to Parker, many other KOTFM actors are expected to attend the Osage Oscars Watch Party in Pawhuska.

The Oscars is set to broadcast on Sunday, March 10 at 4:00 p.m. (PDT)/6:00 p.m. (CT)/7:00 p.m. (EDT). It will be broadcast on the ABC network and streaming platforms Hulu and YoutubeTV.
