MVSKOKE RESERVATION- On Oct. 21, the Health, Education, and Welfare Committee held an in-person meeting. Passed legislation will go on to the next full council meeting, unless otherwise noted.
The committee addressed the following legislation, the interpretation of which is attributed to language in the bill:
NCA 25-107 A law of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation authorizing a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $345,943 for the Election Board to conduct a special election during fiscal year 2026 passed with a vote of 3-0. Representative Anna Marshall sponsored the legislation.
The MCN Election Board is requesting supplemental appropriation to cover a special election in 2026. These costs include wages, precinct worker stipends, supplies, mileage, background checks, postage/shipping, and legal services. There were no questions during discussion.
