According to the bill, the purpose of the compact is to allow the Nation to redesign programs, services, functions, and activities (PSFAs), and to reallocate funds according to tribal priorities. The compact will enhance the effectiveness of and long-term financial stability of the tribe and will include Fire Protection as part of its justice services and safety. The purpose of the Multiyear Funding Agreement is set for those who need to transfer to the MCN funding period of Oct. 1, 2019, through Sep. 30, 2021, to be retained for FY 2026.
