EUFAULA, Oklahoma– The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Accessing Choices in Education (ACE) Program will be offering a free ACT test prep workshop.
According to MCN ACE Services, the workshop is with Chad Cargill, a test prep program to provide grade 9-12 students with a practical, hands-on workshop designed to increase student’s ACT test scores. In this workshop, students will learn test-taking strategies and focus on English, Math, Reading and Science questions.
Students will receive an ACT Prep Book with notes and concepts discussed in the presentation when they arrive at the workshop.
The workshop will be at the Eufaula Indian Community Center located at 800 Birkes Rd Eufaula, OK 74432 on March 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This will be the first of four workshops. The check-in time and breakfast will be at 8:15 a.m.
This workshop is open to all tribal affiliated students who live in and attend school in the Mvskoke Reservation.
ACE will also be hosting workshops in other areas as well such as Broken Arrow-NSU campus with the other two locations yet to be determined. The workshops will typically take place prior to the national ACT testing dates. Times and locations of tests will be announced later.
Workshop dates are March 29 at Eufaula, May 25 at Broken Arrow-NSU, June 29 at TBD and August 24 TBD.
If students need assistance for ACT testing fees they will be referred to the MCN Employment and Training Department.
