John A. Sloan Veteran Spotlight

The Muscogee Nation Veterans Services Office is proud to honor tribal veteran John A. Sloan for his dedicated service to the U.S. Army, the United States and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. John was born on April 27, 1946 and passed on December 6, 2020. John honorably served for three years from 1968 to 1970 and is a recipient of several honors: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal with 3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal with Palm Unit Citation, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Army Valorous Unit Citation Award, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar.
