OKMULGEE, Okla. – The Muscogee (Creek) National Land, Natural Resources and Cultural Preservation Committee held a meeting in the Mound Building on Nov. 12.
The committee addressed the following legislation, the interpretation of which is attributed to language in the bills. All legislation passed through committee will be presented in the next session for full council approval.
TR 24-138 A tribal resolution of the MCN authorizing the Principal Chief to execute a real estate contract for purchase of property in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Representative Robyn Whitecloud sponsored this legislation, which passed 4-0.
If this legislation is adopted into law, MCN will use this property and utilize this land to expand on land use, according to the bill.
